Hello everyone! As I sit here, snowed in again for the second time in the last 7 days, I am thinking back to the last few days and it has been amazing. Rod and I looked at each other today and both said," this Christmas has been the absolute best Christmas either of us have had". It has been a pure joy to celebrate this holiday season with our sweet baby, Maizy! She is a our delight with a personality that would melt the coldest of hearts.
What a weekend it was. We spent Christmas Eve with my Maizy's grampy's entire family. We had so much fun hanging out together. Many of Mommy's cousins had never met Maizy, so it was truly a blessing! Christmas day we woke up, and the three of us celebrated our first Christmas together. As I am writing this I have tears in my eyes thinking about what an amazing time we had together. God has been faithful! After a time together we went over to Grammy and Grandpa's house, in our PJ's, and opened presents with them. I think it goes with out saying that Maizy received more than her share of gifts! It was a blast watching Maizy play with the paper and bows, she is sooo much fun! We spent the entire day at Grammy and Grandpa's house. All of Mommy's family came over and we ate a wonderful meal together and many people were there to love on our baby girl! I have never felt so much joy in my life (besides my wedding day and the day Maizy was born) as I did on this Christmas. I have been reminded many times of the grace of God and His faithfulness through all generations.
Maizy is growing leaps and bounds. Every time we turn around she is doing something else that blows our minds. She is such a smart little girl, with quite a funny attitude. We can already tell that she will always have us on our toes and I love it!!!! God has been so good to us with this gift of such an incredible little girl!
I have to say that I know there is so much more joy to come our way, but this Christmas has been the best Christmas God had allowed me to celebrate!
Due to the weather we were not able to fly to Oklahoma to see Grandma and Grandpa Ginn, but we have rescheduled for the next weekend. I will fill you in on the details after we return from our trip to Oklahoma. We are going to celebrate Christmas with Daddy's family. We are truly excited, as Uncle Joe and Aunt Kim have never met Maizy. This will be a good time for all of us to be with Daddy's family!
We will be spending the new year with Mommy's family and will take lots of picture of Maizy's first New Year. I will be sure to share the pics with you after this coming weekend.
We love you all!!! Have a Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone! You probably thought that we had fallen off the face of the earth! Not true, here we are. Long story short, we lent our camera to someone and we did not get it back yet, but Mommy and Daddy have purchased a new camera that captures such beautiful pictures of their sweet baby! Sooooo...We have a whole lot of catching up to do.
Let me start with Thanksgiving. We had such a wonderful time on Thanksgiving. Grandma Judy, grandpa Ron and Uncle Jason came to celebrate the holiday with us. On thanksgiving day we went to Grammy and Grampy's house (Morrison). We had such a fun day! And it was so special to spend our first Thanksgiving with our baby girl. The rest of the weekend we spent hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Ginn and of course our sweet Uncle Jason. Mommy immediately started to decorated for Christmas because she had several events taking place at the house that we all needed to get ready for. Grandma Judy, grandpa Ron and Uncle Jason were able to see how big Maizy is getting and experience what joy she is, although she was sick the whole weekend, she still knows how to melt your heart! We really enjoyed them being here for thanksgiving. This was the first Thanksgiving in 14 years that Daddy was able to spend with his family, it was a true blessing to him!
Here is a little update on Maizy: She is sitting up for short periods of time (very short) but non the less, our little girl is strong! She is definitely teething and as most of us know this is quite a long process. Her personality is shining through, especially in the last two weeks, we are starting to see such amazing things. She is one of the happiest babies I have ever known. She loves to laugh, especially at her Grampy George, he can get her laughing like no one else. Right now she is bit of a Mommy's girl, but we all know that will change sooner than Mommy would like. Maizy loves her time with her daddy when he comes home from work and on the weekends. She knows when he walks in the door, it is very special! Maizy is fascinated with all the lights that are displayed in our home for Christmas, and she loves the Christmas tree!!!!! Mommy and Maizy have had a lot going on during the day. They are enjoying hanging out and doing several Christmas activities together. This last weekend Maizy's great Aunt Gwen, and Aunt Robin, and cousin Stephanie came to Denver to bake with Grammy Cheryl, Maizy and mommy. We had a blast, and of course Maizy received a huge amount of attention. It was quite a blessing to spend that time with them! Maizy continues to amaze us on a daily basis! We have noticed that she is starting to scoot when we put her on her tummy and she is beginning to turn on her side (on her way to turning over). So there you have it, the last three weeks. Now onto the coming holiday....
We will be here for Christmas, and will spend Christmas Eve at Maizy's Great Uncle Rob and Great auntie Iona's house with all of Grampy's siblings. Mommy's Uncle Mike and his entire family will be coming out this year for Christmas and will see Maizy for the first time. We are so excited to spend time with them and for them to spend time with Maizy! We have soo many fun events planned with Mommy's family and as we all know Maizy will receive such love and attention. On Christmas day we will be at Grampy George and Grammy Cheryl's house for a fun filled day and an amazing dinner.
The following week, after Christmas, we are going to the mountains to snowmobile and hang out with family, it will truly be a blast!!! Daddy will also be having surgery on December 28th, right before we leave for Oklahoma to spend the new year with Daddy's family. We will be heading to Grandma and Grampa Ginn's house to spend a few days celebrating Christmas and the New Year. This will be very exciting as Maizy will meet Uncle Joe and Aunt Kim for the first time, and of course quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Ginn and of course Uncle Jason. We are so excited for Maizy to be able to spend time with them, and we know Uncle Joe and Aunt Kim are also very thrilled. Maizy is a lucky little girl to have people around her that love her so dearly. An exciting event will take place in Oklahoma over the holiday, Maizy will be able to meet her only two remaining Great Grand parents. This will be such a great time, Daddy is so excited for this to happen!
Okay I think I have all of you caught up. I promise we will be, once again, posting on a daily basis! We love you all so much and can't wait to see everyone of you during the holidays!
