The Ginn Family Blog

This is our gift to our friends and family - a journey of our babies Maizy Ruth and Nathanael Thomas, as they grow physically, emotionally and spiritually!

Hello everyone! Maizy Ruth Ginn will be 4 months old on Wednesday, November 22nd. I can hardly believe how fast the last four months has gone, it is crazy!
Life in the Ginn household has gone full speed ahead. Maizy is now close to sitting up, eating solid food, and is teething. What a whirlwind we have been through, and we are loving every minute. Maizy went to her 4 month well baby check up today, and once again we heard how amazing her progress is. She now weighs 14 pounds, and is 2 feet long!!!!!!!!! I can not believe that my little 5 pounder is now the size of a Thanksgiving turkey.
My prayer is that all who have not yet been able to meet our little angel will be able to soon. She is a pure delight to all she comes into contact with. She has a laugh that could melt the coldest of hearts and a personality that commands a crowd. Every day is a joy and a true blessing from God.
The Holiday season is vastly approaching and Rod and I are beside ourselves with the anticipation of our first holiday season with our little girl. Life has more meaning than it ever has had and we look forward to celebrating with our precious one.
We love you all and we will keep you updated on all the fun through the holiday season!

Yes folks, it's true, you are seeing it first here on the blog, our baby is now eating solids!!!!! (and the crowd goes wild)

We have officially started teething and our new best friend is our toy penguin. Maizy loves to chew on his nose, it is quite adorable!

Top Picture: This is our four month old well on her way to sitting up. We have started the first stages of sitting up and she attempts it all day long. We have a very strong willed and determined little girl (I love it!)
Middle Picture: Mommy kissing on her sweet little baby!
Bottom Picture: Maizy loves to sit up in her bobby now. Laying down is just boring to her now.

Well you all are probably wondering if we had fallen of the face of the earth, not so, but the Ginn family had been busy. Maizy is growing like a weed. She has become quite a talker, even in her sleep (Mommy loves it). She has the most adorable laugh and is now added to her sounds by quite a bit. Maizy is trying to sit up on her own, and I can tell you that it will not be long. We no longer have to support her head when we carry her - she is a strong girl! She has personality for a mile and will make you laugh constantly. Life is wonderful here at the Ginn household.
Mommy and Daddy left Maizy for the first time over night. Even though it was a much needed time away, we could hardly wait to get back to our baby. Mommy woke up every hour on the hour while she was away. But, of course, Maizy was left in great hands, she spent the night with Grammy and Grandpa. Grammy was so sick that she had to stay in bed and Grampa George took care of Maizy's every little need and did an amazing job! Needless to say that Grampy wasn't wasn't to sad that he had Maizy to himself for entire 24 hours. We have Maizy's 4 month check up on Monday the 20th, 4 MONTHS!!!!! (can you believe it). We will post all the details Monday night! We love you all!

Our little Maizy (who is not so little anymore) loves to play. This is her at Aunt Melinda's house playing with the Seasame Street characters. She talked and talked and played and played forever with this toy. It was a joy to mommy's heart to see her have so much fun!
