Daddy refered to this as "a little slice of heaven". It is so true, every moment with our sweet Maizy reminds of of God's grace and what a miracle she is!

She definately has personality and we see it more and more everyday! It's amazing how fast they can change!

Mommy and Maizy solving the worlds problems.

Our Baby loves her pacifier, isn't she just the cutest thing you have ever seen?

Top pic: Our sweet maizy sleeping, and by the way our precious little one slept through the night for the first time! WOO HOO (says mommy)
Bottom pic: Maizy and mommy hanging out - they love being together!

Everyone needs a little "bling bling" in their wardrobes, Maizy's is on her pacifier or as her daddy calls it, her "sucky doodle".

I know she looks absolutely adorable in her new hat, but Maizy has made it clear that she does not like hats. She will use every effort to get them off her head, its quite funny!

Here is the latest on our little Miss Maizy Ruth:
On Friday, September 22 Maizy had her 2 month well baby check up. She now weighs 10 lbs and is 22 1/2 inches long. Dr. Bucknam (Maizy's pediatrician) called her Amazing Maizy (which mommy and daddy agree with) because of her amazing growth and development. He said that he was impressed with how on target she is with the rest of the babies her age, despite her being premature. Maizy had to get her immunization at this appointment. Mommy left the room and had daddy deal with the whole thing, because she didn't want to see her little girl in pain. Maizy was a trooper, only cried for a few seconds. The nurse was impressed at how well she did. The rest of the weekend was full of family, family and some more family. Kelly's cousin Stephanie came down from the University of Wyoming to meet Maizy and her Aunt Gwen also got to spend time wtih her. Maizy always enjoys being around her family, because she is always being loved on. The family tends to fight over her constantly ( its pretty entertaining for Mom and Dad) but Grandpa trumps them all. When he wants her he gets her and she loves her grandpa George.

The next couple of months are very busy for our little girl. In October Mommy, Daddy and Maizy will be traveling to Estes Park, San Antonio and to a good friends wedding in Phoenix. In November Grandma and Grandpa Ginn ,Uncle Jason, Uncle Joe and Aunt Kim may join us for Thanksgiving. This will be a great time, because Maizy will have lots of family around for her first big holiday.

On October 8 we will be dedicating our precious baby to the Lord at Faith Bible Chapel in the 9 am service. We are looking forward to this day and the celebration with our family and friends. Maizy's mommy was dedicated 30 years ago in the same church, so this is an amazing event of God's grace!

Please feel free to make comments on the blog, we would love to hear from you! We love you all!

This picture was after we had just given Maizy a bath and put her jammies on. As I always say, she is the cutest!!!!!!!!

What a sweet picture and for the first time Aunt Nili and cousin Shayna are not arguing about who gets to hold her. Maizy definately does not lack love and attention!

Daddy feeding Maizy, she always holds her hands up under her chin when she eats - it is absolutely adorable. Top picture: Daddy with droll down his back - he loves it!

Maizy's cousin Stephanie came from college (University of Wyoming) to meet her for the first time.

This is Maizy's Great Aunt Gwen (my mom's oldest sister). She came from Washington state and the verdict from Aunt Gwen is that Maizy is adorable, love at first sight. Aunt Gwen commented that with every facial expression Maizy looks like someone different. She also said that she could sit and watch her facial expressions all day (that is what we all say). Maizy has really come into her personality, and she has the best facial expressions!

Now, isn't she the cutest thing you have ever seen (we think so!!!!!)

They say a picture is worth a thousand words!

Just wanted you all to know that Maizy was the star of the show on Sunday night. Our church had our big "Night to Honor Israel" and Rod had a part in the play and Maizy and I were in it with him. She was a hit! There were 3,500 people who ooohed and ahhhed over her. It has begun, our little star is born!!!!!!! We will also be performing this drama in San Antonio in October in front of 10,000 people - she will only be 3 months old and performing for thousands!!! We love you all, feel free to post comments on the blog, we would love to hear from all of you!

Grandpa and Grammy came over late one night to pray over Maizy.

She has had a little virus this last week, so grammy and grandpa came over to pray over her.

Don't you wish you knew what was going through their minds. This picture was taken right after Maizy woke up. She is truly the cutest (at least her mommy thinks so).

Daddy and Maizy enjoying some time together (This is Maizy telling daddy all about her day!)

I think these pictures say it all!!!!!!

Maizy in her "big girl" crib and playing on the floor.

Can you believe it?, our little princess in 8 weeks old today! I can hardly believe how quickly the time has gone and how much she has grown. At her last doctor's visit (Tuesday, September 12) she weighed 9lbs 3oz. We are so amazed at every little thing she does. Maizy is now responding to voices by turning her head in response, she coos and laughs, she smiles in response to your smile and laughter, she would rather be looking around than cuddled (unless its nap time). She is so curious about the world around her. We are having to say good bye to the good ole days when you could hold her for hours and she would just sleep. She is an active baby, who loves to kick her feet grab onto her toys in her play center. We think she is the smartest baby on the planet (we might be a little partial). The other night, when Rod and I took her to choir practice, Grammy Cheryl got on the microphone, and when Maizy heard her voice her eyes lit up and she laughed. I was so impressed with her response I had to stop everyone and tell them. I am amazed at the growth of our little girl. She has definitely been a huge reminder of God's awesome love and grace. We look forward to all of you meeting her, she is truly a slice of heaven, the joy of my heart and the apple of her daddies eye.

This is Maizy Ruth in her Ocean City outfit that Grandpa George bought her. Next year she will be running on the beach in Ocean City with her cousins Ethan and Avery.

Here is our little cutie pumpkin after taking a bath. She is the cutest thing ever!!!!
